Overview

The Department of Bioethics offers consultation, collaboration, and education to intramural researchers and extramural program officers. The members of the Department are available to:

  • Consult with investigators on ethical questions or concerns related to the design and/or conduct of research
  • Analyze emerging issues in bioethics
  • Collaborate on research assessing a wide range of issues in bioethics
  • Conduct and collaborate on empirical research to relevant to important issues in research ethics or bioethics more generally
  • Provide education and training on bioethics
