Emerging Technologies

Many established and emerging technologies are available to CCR scientists. This technology-rich environment makes the CCR a unique place to conduct scientific research. Through the OSTR, the CCR continues to find ways to quickly evaluate new advances in technologies and efficiently exploit them for ongoing research projects.

Antibody Engineering

The Antibody Engineering Program (AEP) is part of the Center for Cancer Research (CCR) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The program focuses on generating therapeutic antibodies by phage display technologies.

Intravital Microscopy

Intravital microscopy (IVM) is one of the most powerful imaging approaches aimed at visualizing cellular processes in live animals under both physiological and pathological conditions.

Spatial Biology

Employing spatial biology techniques enables acquisition of transcript and protein data from intact tissue sections, and in turn, spatial distribution information and cellular interaction patterns are revealed.

Single-Cell Analysis

Realizing the great potential of single-cell technology in cancer research, the CCR has established a new Single Cell Analysis Facility (SCAF) located on the Bethesda main campus.

Volume EM

Volume EM is a group of techniques, often including FIB-SEM in conjunction with light or fluorescence microscopy, used to image the structure of cells and tissues in 3-D and at nanoscale resolutions.
